“Mary Lynn Mabray has been a family friend of my husband’s and later mine when we married and I observed her talent when she helped her mother redesigned their family home. It was gorgeous! I made myself a promise that someday she would design my home. That day began September 18, 2015 and we have almost completed the project. Because my husband and I either owned or inherited many of our furnishing through our marriage and a lot of them were vintage or antiques, we asked Mary Lynn to integrate them in her design and our home was originally built in the late 1960’s so it had the typical formal living room and enclosed patio for extra square footage. She showed us ways to update with current trends while still leaving the character of our vintage belongings and building on them. We repurposed a lot of what we had, too, keeping our budget manageable. She had an eye for color and when she has a vision for a particular idea, she will work until the idea/project develops to that end. She is fun to work with. She educated me about how some styles mix and others don’t. And so much more. She follows through with her trades people until the client is happy. I thoroughly enjoyed our time together picking elements, furnishings, art, paint, rugs, etc, and talking about design. When we picked household elements or furnishings, she would present 3 or more possibles and we could definitely pick one we preferred. Mary Lynn is conscientious about her clients time and budget at all times and she is reasonably affordable. It was a happy experience for us to get to remodel our home with her & her expertise right along side us. I can say today my home is a happy home and all who come in are immediately impacted by Mary Lynn’s vision. Love it!”
